Morpholytics offers a powerful new way for companies to reduce risks and
lower costs of analytics development.
Contrast our approach to other approaches:
In-House Development
Firms currently perform most analytics development
in-house, with the results generally limited to a small number
"power users" within the organization.
Any analytics development relies on expertise, but
expertise is difficult to maintain given the pervasive fragmentation of
data and systems that exists is many organizations, and the increasing
complexity of tools and techniques. For in-house developers, this may
mean limiting how quickly new analytical tools can be created.
Consulting Companies
Small, specialized and quite likely, expensive,
consulting companies are sometimes hired by larger firms to help with
analytics development and analysis. However, consulting companies' fixed
staff sizes and high labor costs are distinct disadvantages that are in
sharp contrast to the advantages our approach offers.
Outsourcing
Well-known firms have begun to outsource analytics
work. However, outsourcing has some significant drawbacks. Notably,
outsourcing is geared toward producing narrow, undifferentiated solutions
to standardized problems, and is inadequate for handling unconventional
problems well.
While cost savings are possible using outsourcing,
they come at the price of commoditized analytics. Worst of all, no
competitive advantage is possible for firms utilizing outsourcers.
